Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved the verdict in Ayesha Gulalai disqualification case.
A single member bench of IHC comprising Justice Amir Farooq took up the case for hearing on Friday.
During the course of hearing, petitioner took the plea that Gulalai leveled false allegations against Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Chief Imran Khan and insulted public mandate.
Petitioner further stated that she only leveled allegations against Imran Khan instead of resorting to court. Therefore court should deseat her from National Assembly after declaring her disqualified because she remains nor more qualified for NA seat under representation of people act.
The court while addressing petitioner Counsel inquired if it is not her personal matter?
The court reserved the judgment on the petition. .
It is vital to mention here that Ayesha made serious allegations against PTI Chief of sending immoral messages to her.
Election Commission, Speaker National Assembly and Ayesha Gulalai have been made respondents in the petition.
