Sargodha: (Parliament Times) Public Affairs Officer of US Consulate Lahore Michel Gunaim has said that students are building blocks of the nation and the emerging leaders of the society. He was speaking to a ceremony held at Lincoln corner University of Sargodha on Wednesday in connection with summer school certificate distribution.
He said, “Pakistan is a beautiful country and its people are very courageous”. He continued that leadership qualities can overcome many of problems even in practical and other spheres of life. He said that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Muhammad Ali Jinnah Founder of Pakistan are two great examples of leadership and they are best role models in any field of life for this country.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed said in his address to the audience that every graduate is a leader who can inspire others. He congratulated the participants on their achievements, and wished them best of luck for their future. On this occasion focal person Lincoln corner Dr Azhar Pervaiz also addressed to the audience. “We facilitated around 200 programs in year 2017”, he added.

Coordinator Lincoln corner Maryam Gul said: “We are optimistic, hopeful and confident on our role in community development and bringing new horizons of learning through interactive experiential and activity based programs in University of Sargodha”.
She added More than fifty individuals programs were facilitated in the summer school including community outreach session. “There were different learning modules related to technology, humanities, social sciences, leadership, and community development were being added in summer school. Freelancing, web development, story illustration, photography, videography, Arduino, awareness on drug abuse and English learning sessions is the list of the offered modules. Modules were executed on interactive and activity based instructional style” she said.

Meanwhile, certificates were distributed among the graduates of summer school, students completed student mentorship program of Lincoln corner, speakers and the members of graphic and media society (GMS) for facilitating the sessions and their services in summer school.
Earlier, Public Affair Officer also met with the Vice Chancellor in his office and agreed to establish TOFEL and ILTES test centre at UOS. He also assured to include UOS faculty members into entrepreneur workshop to be arranged by the US next month. Mr. Michel was very much impressed by the progress of UOS and appraised its administration.
