Lahore: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif departed for London Wednesday to celebrate Eid with his wife and sons.
According to media reports, Nawaz is travelling to London via flight EK-625.
Chief Minister (CM ) Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and PML-N leader Asif Kirmani saw off the former PM.
All security measures agencies were put on high alert at Allama Iqbal International airport while mobile phones of all staff performing duty on airport were taken during his departure.
Civil Aviation staff, senior officials, manager and deputy manager airport remained present on airport .
It is vital to mention here that Hamza Shehbaz, second daughter of Nawaz Sharif, daughter-in-law of finance minister Ishaq Dar Asma Ali , wife and children of Hamza Shehbaz and son of CM Punjab, Suleiman Shehbaz are already in London.
Former PM spouse, Kulsoom Nawaz was diagnosed with throat cancer and she is at London for her medical treatment.
