Karachi : An unidentified robber has been killed while two of his accomplices have fled during a police encounter in Lines area here.
According to police on a tip off that three dacoits were looting the citizens near Kamran Hotel in Lines area, at night, they rushed to the scene. The suspects tried to flee on spotting the police. The robbers opened fire when the police signaled them to stop. In retaliatory firing by police , one of the 3 robbers was shot dead whereas two others ran away. Police hunt is underway to arrest the fleeing dacoits .
Another incident happened near police station at Sharah-e-Faisal, Golistan-e-Johar linking road of block 17 and 18. According to SHO Imtiaz Mir Jat , a mechanic was repairing vehicle of Abdullah a local resident at his shop when two armed accused turned up and tried to loot the owner of vehicle Abdullah Memon at gun point. Abdullah took out his pistol and started firing on the suspects. One among the two alleged robbers died on the spot and other fled from the scene.
