Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The federal minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ch. Barjees Tahir while condemning the use of excessive forces by Indian occupation forces in held Kashmir has said that India can’t suppress the voice of Kashmiris by resorting to oppression and suppression.
According to a statement issued here on Sunday Tahir said that the day was not far when Kashmiris would achieve their cherished goal of right to self-determination for which they have rendered matchless sacrifices over the past several years. Referring to Indian Army officer’s statement on Kashmir he said that General ® DS Hoda had admitted it publicly that India was losing battle in Kashmir. In view of the simmering situation in Kashmir the federal minister said that the Indian army officer had suggested the government of India to find out a solution of dispute through talks. He said that despite that India has been using its military might that resulted in widespread death and destruction in the region.
Ch. Barjess Tahir said that India over the past several decades has miserably failed in its attempts to change the demography of the region. India he said has unleashed rein of terror in occupied Kashmir. The entire territory he said has been turned into a virtual hell by Indian forces by committing atrocious atrocities against unarmed Kashmiris. “India army has crossed all limits of savagery and barbarism by killing and blinding innocent Kashmirisâ€, he said adding that India was setting up most horrific examples of state-terrorism by using lethal pellet guns against Kashmiris.
He said that world community’s silence over Indian state terrorism in Kashmir was regrettable. Owing to their political and economic interests with India he said that these so-called champions of humanity and human rights have maintained deafening silence on the issue. He said that Pakistan will continue its political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmir cause besides raising their voice in all international forums.
