MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan says private sector is playing significant role in overall infrastructure development in the state.
Inaugurating a Private Bank in Muzaffarabad, he said the private sector, including banks, could invest in hydel power generation, tourism, telecommunication and industrial sector.
The President said that international banks would be provided investment friendly atmosphere in AJK.
Earlier, AJK President Masood Khan visited a refugees’ camp and inspected Kashmir Skill Development School. On the occasion representatives of refugees informed the President regarding their issues. AJK President said that government was working to resolve the issues of refugees. He added that their monthly stipend was being increased and their quota in educational institutions will be implemented. He said that Kashmiris were peaceful people and government will promote handicrafts industry.
