ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Chairman Pakistan Muslim League (N) and leader of the House in Senate Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq on Wednesday said Pakistan would continue to extend moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiri people in their struggle to achieve right to self- determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

Senator Haq expressed these views while talking to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan. Raja Zafar ul Haq said the PML-N government wanted meaningful and result-oriented dialogue to resolve the Kashmir issue peacefully.

Raja Zafarul Haq said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif raised the Kashmir issue at the international forums, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Referring to recent OIC meeting which was held at Ivory Coast , he said the OIC reaffirmed support to Kashmiris’ right to self- determination, which only became possible due to the efforts of PML-N government and leadership.

He said China and Pakistan were time tested friends and always supported each other to move forward to achieve shared prosperity.

Prime Minister Farooq Haider briefed the PMLN senior leader on human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir by Indian forces and Indian aggression against innocent civilians along the Line of Control.
He briefed him about the AJK government efforts to resolve public issues and ensuring of good governance in the region. Raja Zafar ul Haq expressed satisfaction over performance of PMLN government and assured him the full cooperation of the Party and government for the development of the AJK.
