Kashmiris’ sacrifices to bear fruit soon: Farooq Haider

Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that the freedom struggle in Indian Held territory of Jammu and Kashmir has entered into a decisive phase and the day was not far when Kashmiris would achieve the cherished goal of freedom from Indian subjugation.

Talking to members of different public delegations who called him here on Friday the AJK premier said that due to Kashmiris’ massive sacrifices and Pakistan’s successful foreign policy the issue of Kashmir came to fore at global level. In order to deflect world attention from the situation in held Kashmir he said that India was now targeting civilian population on the LoC. Referring to growing levels of frustration in Indian army, AJK premier said the frustrated Indian army was targeting innocent children and women by resorting to shelling across the line of control. Khan said that even today an innocent child and three others were hit by cross loc firing in Leepa Sector.

In Indian held Kashmir, the AJK PM said that occupation forces deployed in the length and breadth of the State were blinding Kashmiri youth by using live ammunition and pellet guns against peaceful protesters. Terming the use of excessive forces by India as worst kind of state-terrorism he said that despite unleashing reign of terror in held Kashmir India has miserably failed to quell the voice of freedom in the dispute territory. “Despite India’s oppression and suppression, the resistance movement in occupied Kashmir is gaining momentum with each passing day”, he said adding that world community must take serious notice of deteriorating human rights situation in Held Kashmir and cross-LoC shelling by Indian forces across the line of control.

He said that the political leadership of AJK must recognize its national obligations and play its role in exposing Indian atrocities at international level. He said that it was quite unfortunate that some rejected political activists of the region were engaged in petty politics to seek attention of the masses. He said that the masses have rejected them in the previous elections. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will emerge as victor in Panama case. Terming Kashmiris as a loyal and courageous nation Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider said, “We [Kashmiris] will stand by our leader through think and thin”
