Murree: (Parliament Times) The president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that Indian troops, after losing battle in Held Kashmir, were venting out their anger and frustration by targeting innocent civilians on the line of control.

The AJK president said this while talking to Major General Azhar Abass the general officer commanding (GoC) Murree here on Thursday. The security situation on the Line of Control and other matters of mutual interest were the main points of discussion during the meeting. He said that people of Azad Kashmir, who have rendered matchless sacrifices and suffered immensely due to India’s naked aggression, will not be cowed down by such pressure tactics. He said that people of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir will stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistani armed forces in case of any misadventure by Indian army across Line of Control. He said that people settled in the villages adjacent to LoC have been braving India’s aggression with utmost courage and fortitude.

Expressing satisfaction over Pakistan armed forces’ befitting response to Indian army’s unprovoked shelling on the LoC Sardar Masood Khan said, “We are proud that the Defence of Azad Kashmir is in the strong hands of brave army of Pakistan”. “We are also proud that thousands of Kashmiri youth and officers are now part of Pakistan army”, he said adding that we salute all those soldiers and officers who discharge their duties in testing times.

Speaking on the occasion the GoC Murree appreciated President Masood Khan for promoting and projecting Kashmir cause at international level. The president also condemned in strong terms the recent Indian attack on Pakistan Army Vehicle at Ath-Muqam and expressed his heartfelt condolences to GoC Murree over the martyrdom of Pakistani soldiers.

Meanwhile, member legislative assembly Ch. Yasin Gulshun called on AJK president Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan and apprised the president of the problems faced by the people of his constituency. Gulshun presented a charter of demand regarding the early completion of Abasspur Tehsil Hospital, dilapidated condition of Hajeera-Abasspur road and starting of post-graduate classes in Abasspur Degree College. The AJK President on the occasion assured the visiting MLA that all out assistance would be provided to resolve these problems.
