Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Sunday said that the OIC adopted a comprehensive resolution on Jammu and Kashmir, wherein the Muslim body besides condemning human rights abuses in Occupied Kashmir had called on the government of India to fulfill its commitment of granting Kashmiris their birth right, the right to self determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions.

The AJK premier who returned Islamabad after attending the OIC contact group on Kashmir meeting and a short visit to Dubai said this while talking to party workers at Islamabad international airport. Terming his visit as successful the Prime Minister said that he highlighted the human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir by the Indian forces during the meeting of the OIC contact group on Jammu and Kashmir at Ivory Coast.

He said that OIC passed a resolution on Jammu and Kashmir condemning human rights abuses in Occupied Kashmir and calling upon Indian to stop atrocities in the Occupied Kashmir and fulfill her pledges of granting Kashmiris their right, right to self determination accordance with United Nations resolutions. He said, on special advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif he attended the meeting of the OIC contact group on Kashmir.

“The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has a special interest in resolving Kashmir Issue accordance with the wishes and will of the Kashmiri People and at international level, government of Pakistan enjoys full support of Muslim Umma on the Kashmir Issue,” he said.

Condemning the conspiracies being hatched against the elected government of Pakistan Muslim League (N) he said that the conspiracies against the PML-N government was tantamount to weakening the on going freedom movement of the Kashmiri people in Occupied Kashmir. He admired the development of country during last four year under the Pakistan Muslim League’s rule. Khan said that country was fighting big challenges of terrorism and extremism, economy was on move and projects under CPEC were under way successfully and at this critical time, the political and economic process in the country has been slowed down due to controversial JIT report.
