Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Renowned JKLF leader Sardar Aftab Khan has passed away here after a brief illness.
Khan, 55 breathed his last this afternoon (Sunday) at a hospital where he has been under treatment for last couple of days. Pertinently, the JKLF leader after suffering a severe heart attack was rushed to cardiology center in Rawalpindi.
Khan was an honest, sincere and staunch freedom activist who remained wedded to Kashmir cause till last breath of his life. He served the movement selflessly and rendered his services sincerely with utmost commitment. He is reckoned to be one amongst senior stalwarts of JKLF who had worked painstaking for the noble cause in close association with JKLF ideologue Ammanullah Khan.Funeral prayers of the deceased were held at Race Course Ground Rawalpindi at 11:30 PM.

Deceased would be laid to eternal rest at his native village Thorar and Nimaz-e-Jinaza would be held at 3:00 PM. Khan is survived by his wife, three daughters and three sons.

Meanwhile, political, social and journalist fraternity had expressed deep shock and sorrow over the sad demise of JKLF leader and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
