Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has condemned the shifting of ailing Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi to Amphala Jail in Jammu, saying that PDP-RSS-led regime has virtually turned Jammu and Kashmir into a battle field.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Aasiya Andrabi is suffering from multiple ailments and is critically ill and shifting her to Amphala Jail will prove detrimental to her health conditions.” He said that the puppet administration would be responsible if anything untoward happened to the ailing woman leader. The APHC Chairman termed the use of pellets against protesting students as unjustified. He maintained that instead of considering the reason and root cause of unrest among the students, the use of brute force would further escalate the appalling situation.
He called for immediate release of all illegally detained students and demanded stringent action against the erring Indian forces’ personnel who raided college in Pulwama and other educational institutions. He said that the puppet authorities were pushing the Kashmiri people to the wall and warned them of dire consequences if brutalities against civilians were not stopped. Syed Ali Gilani ridiculed the Indian Defence Minister Arun Jaitley’s statement that New Delhi will not talk to resistance leadership and said, “We have never begged for talks before India. We will never hold talks with those following fascist dogma.”
“New Delhi’s refusal to talk makes no difference. Kashmir is a disputed territory and its disputed status cannot be changed by the statements of Indian leaders like Arun Jaitly or Narendra Modi. Despite its military might and luring some henchmen, Indian leadership could not change the discourse on the Kashmir dispute,” he added.
