Quetta:(Parliament Times A high level meeting was held at Southern Command Headquarters in Quetta on Saturday. The consultative meeting attended by civil and military officials after discussing in detail the prevailing security situation in the region reiterated that peace in the province would be restored through an effective and rapid response system.
According to ISPR, the meeting was attended by commander southern command Lieutenant General Amir Riyaz, provincial interior minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary, Additional IG Police and other military and civilian government officials.
The participants of the meeting reviewed the overall security and law and order situation in the province and reiterated their resolve that lasting peace in the region would be restored through an effective and rapid response system. The participants of the meeting on the occasion also offered Fateh for the martyrs of Mastong and Gowadar and prayed for the departed souls.
