STAMFORD : Former UFC and current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar remained the highest paid wrestler in WWE last year according to figures given by Forbes.

As per details, the WWE Universal Champion earned $12 million in 2016 despite making fewer appearances in the ring as compared to other stars. He hardly featured on a few dozen dates across the calendar year, but was still able to top the charts of highest earners.

John Cena was second in the list who earned $8 million. Triple H netted $3.8 million in 2016 followed by Roman Reigns who pocketed $3.5 million.

The net worth of Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles and Shane McMahon remained $2.7 million, $2.4 million and $2.2 million respectively.

The Undertaker, despite featuring occasionally in first four months of the year, earned $2 million. He also announced an emotional retirement at Wrestlemania 33 after being defeated by Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins also shared the same amount as The Undertaker.

The list does not end without giving a surprise, as the current WWE Champion and company veteran Randy Orton is at the bottom of top ten having pocketed only $1.9 million.
