Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik while terming the exemplary boycott as a referendum against illegal occupation of India has said that 5 per cent theory of Mehbooba Mufti has today come true but with one big correction that even 5% Kashmiris are not with India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incarcerated JKLF Chairman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed condolences to the bereaved families of those martyred yesterday. Muhammad Yasin Malik said that Indian rulers, their stooges and occupational forces cannot force Kashmiris into submission by this killing spree, maiming and other oppressive measures. He said that from last 70 years in general and from two decades in particular, Kashmiris have witnessed Indian brutalities and oppression but have not surrendered before this tyranny.
“From last seven months hundreds of our kith and kin are being killed, thousands and being maimed and blinded but the resilience of Kashmiris has not been shaken and our resistance remains steadfast as ever, added JKLF chief. He said that frustrated by the exemplary boycott and peaceful protest across valley against this drama, Indian soldiers and police at the behest of so-called rulers target fired upon many innocent youth at various places and killed and injured many of them.â€
For this killing spree Mehbooba Mufti, her government and all other pro-India leaders and parties are directly involved as they are the ones who are deployed to defend this occupation and these killer forces, asserted Yasin Malik. He said that so-called rulers have become such addicted to the blood of Kashmiris that they have lost every bit of shame and humanity in her. “By constantly accusing those murdered by her forces she is proving their ridiculous behavior and callousness towards innocent Kashmiris,†said the Jailed leader.
JKLF chairman said that for staging bogus drama of elections so-called rulers have caged down thousands of young and old in Kashmir, put restrictions and blockades and even banned internet but despite all these suppressive tactics, people of Kashmir paying reverence to their martyrs and sacrifices boycotted this drama and proved that Kashmiris only want freedom from illegal occupation of India.
Meanwhile JKLF leaders continued election boycott campaign in Islamabad and visited various places including Khanabal, DagaPora, Betpora, Nai Basti, Hanji Danter and Poshwara and asked people to stay away from polls. JKLF Zonal President Noor Muhammad Kalwal along with Muhammad Yasin Butt and senior leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt toady visited various Srinagar hospitals and met those who were injured by Indian forces yesterday.
