ISLAMABAD : Special Assistant to Prime Minister (PM) Asif Kirmani has responded to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Naeemul Haque’s statement on former army chief General (retd) Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and said he has given these remarks on provocation of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Talking to the media , Asif Kirmani said that Naeemul Haque has insulted people’s mandate by giving such statement. No well-wisher of Pakistan can give these remarks, he added.
Asif Kirmani further said that Imran Khan has become an enemy of Pakistan in his hatred for PM Nawaz Sharif. He said that PTI is a group of immature politicians.
On the other hand, Naeemul Haque has said that the comments that he made regarding former army chief had nothing to do with his party stance and were his personal opinion. He further said that he did not accuse Gen (retd) Kayani but only asked for clarification of insinuations levelled against him in a national newspaper.
