ABBOTTABAD: The city district administration postponed the under-13 cricket trials at the cricket ground in Abbottabad on Sunday to make way for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s helicopter to land.

Speaking to the media , the officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board condemned the act, as it goes against the policy of the board. The policies suggest cricket grounds cannot be used for public gatherings or any such VIP acts.

The boys present at the ground for trials had come from various districts of the province, including Chitral, Upper Dir, Buner, Mardan, Swabi, Haripur, Mansehra and Kohistan.

The boys are between the ages of 10 and 12 years. The under-13 cricket trials are underway across the country.

The deputy commissioner of the district told the media the trials were only postponed for the time being and not cancelled.

KP CM Pervez Khattak had come to the district over the demise of the KP government spokesperson, Mushtaq Ghani’s, mother.
