Muzaffarabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said that economically stable Pakistan is a sole guarantee to the success of Kashmir liberation movement.
Addressing Kashmir Conference organized by Germany based Free Kashmir Organization (FKO) here on Friday evening, he said that despite the worst deceptive tactics India cannot keep Kashmir under its subjugation for long. He said that people of occupied Kashmir are part of our body and soul as they have been separated from us through an artificial line.
The India had slaughtered thousands of Kashmiris in 1947 in Jammu and its aggression is still continued after 70 years. The people of Kashmir are still struggling with same spirit and determination, which we witnessed in 1947 and they are single-minded to get their motherland liberated from India and make it part of Pakistan. The president said that Kashmiris people love for Pakistan is not unilateral or one way, fact is that Pakistan had also paid high price for her love to the people Kashmir by losing a part of it and facing threats to its security and existence for supporing and pleading Kashmir cause at Global level.
He maintained that Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir. The president said that India on one hand is engaged in ethnic cleansing of Kashmiris and on the other presenting herself as victim of terrorism before the world. There is a need to expose Indian deception by highlighting the real picture of Kashmir under its occupation.
He urged the youth to acquire knowledge and develop skills to affectively highlight Kashmir issue before the global community. Terming overseas Kashmiris settled in Europe, America and other parts of the world as an asset, the president said it is matter of great satisfaction that new generation of overseas Kashmiris is not only educated and but wield clout because of their sound financial position. Sardar Masood Khan urged individuals, groups and parties of Kashmir synergize their efforts and raise a strong and united voice for the Kashmiris struggling for their rights in Occupied Kashmir.
He said that Free Kashmir Organization headed by Dr Siddique Kiyani is not only doing best in Germany in highlighting Kashmir issue but it also is significantly contributing for the socio-economic uplift of the people of Azad Kashmir. He urged the other Kashmiri expatriates to follow the footsteps of Dr Muhammad Siddique and his associates and play their role for making people of Azad Kashmir educated and skilled.
The president assured Dr Siddique Kiyani and his organization full cooperation of the government. Speaking on the occasion former ambassador Syed Hassan Javed said that Kashmir is unfinished agenda of the partition of Indian subcontinent that will have to settle in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people. He said that all the prophecies of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal have come true and his prediction about Kashmir will also proved correct in future.
In his speech president Free Kashmir Organization Dr Muhammad Siddique said that India is claiming to be biggest democracy of the world but his treatment to the people of Kashmir is undemocratic and authoritarian. He said that his organization is actively engaged in highlighting violation of human rights by India in Germany and Europe and we are also deeply involved in social and economic welfare of the people in Azad Kashmir. He said that around three hundred women have been trained in various trades and skills in the centers setup by his organization in Muzaffarabad and other parts of Azad Kashmir.Later the president Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan, ex- Ambassador Syed Hassan Javed and other guests inaugurated a Kashimiri Arts and Crafts exhibition organized by FKO. The guests took keen interest in locally manufactured handicrafts and praised the skills of the women and men who produced the handicrafts.
