Rawalpindi:The survey has been completed in respect of new route and bus terminals has been completed for providing state of the art public transport service to the citizens upto New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA).An agreement in this regard has been reached between district administration of Islamabad and Rawalpindi while the transport service would be launched from August, 14 2017 for NIIA . During the first phase, 50 Air conditions buses would be run while 50 more would be added in the second phase.Three routes have been allocated for the buses. Route No 1 will start from DHA phase 1, route No 2 from Liaquatabad, while route no 3 would start from Benazir Bhutto International Airport.The Route starting from DHA till New Islamabad International Airport will pass through Katcheri, Chautar Chowk, Golra Mor, Jahngi Syedain, the Route will start from Liaquatabad and pass through Mall Road. The Route three will start from Benazir Bhutto International Airport and pass through scheme three.A state of the Art bus terminal would also be established near Sawan Bridge in Rawalpindi.
