Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) AJK government appointed senior judge Justice Ibrahim Zia as permanent Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Justice Zia will continue as Chief Justice till 2020. Justice Zia Born in village Kote, District Muzaffarabad on April 01, 1955. He got his primary education from local school. Passed Secondary School Examination from Government High School Chikar and got degree of L.L.B from University Law College Punjab in 1979.
Earlier Justice Zia was appointed as Prosecutor General of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in December 2009 and to April, 2010. Appointed as Ad hoc Judge of the Supreme Court April 2, 2010 to Dec 15, 2011. On Dec 16 Justice Zia was appointed as permanently Judge of the Supreme Court.
Mr. Justice, Ibrahim was serving as senior judge of AJK Supreme Court and has been appointed Chief Justice after the retirement of Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Azam Khan. He will take oath as Chief Justice on February 25 at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
