KARACHI: AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said that Kashmiris are struggling for their rights to self determination and their movement has nothing to do with terrorism. He was addressing at a seminar organized at Art Council of Pakistan in Karachi on Sunday. The president said that American people had also fought for to their freedom and it is not appropriate to dub the freedom movement of Kashmiri people as terrorism. The president said that Kashmiris have been striving for their freedom for last seventy years and Indian claim of Kashmir as it integral part has no foundation. He called upon the international community and United Nation to fulfill their responsibilities by resolving Kashmir issue. He said that peace and tranquility cannot be achieved in South Asian region without peaceful settlement of this issue. Terming the people of Kashmir as fundamental party to the Kashmir conflict, AJK President said that Kashmir issue should be resolved in line with United Nations’ resolution and according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people. He called upon the political forces of Pakistan to forge unity and get united on the issue of Kashmir. Describing Kashmir as a long standing dispute between India and Pakistan, the President said that two countries cannot resolve it at bilateral level. The seminar was also addressed by Secretary of the Arts Council, Prof Ejaz Farooqi, Senator Saleem Zia, Agha Masood Hussain, Sardar Ashraf Khan, Sardar Nazakat, Bashir Sudozai, and Abu Hurara. Latter the president also attended launching ceremony of prominent author Mujahid Bralvi’s book. The President also visited the museum of Pakistan Air Force and laid floral wreath on the memorial of martyrs of Pakistan Air Force.
