Karachi: AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has called upon international community to take notice of massive Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. He was talking to media after visiting mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi on Sunday.
On his arrival at the mausoleum of Quaid, the president was presented a salute by smartly turned contingent of Pakistan Navy.
While eulogizing the efforts and struggle of Hurriyet leaders, he said Pakistan will not bow to Indian threats and will continue its diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris.
Accompanied by central leader of Pakistan Muslim League, Senator Salim Zia president laid floral on the grave of Quaid-e- Azam, offered fateha and prayed for the integrity and security of Pakistan and early success of Kashmir Liberation Movement. Later talking to representatives of print and electronic media, he said the Muslims of the subcontinent got a separate homeland under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, who also gave to the people the golden principles of unity, faith and discipline to guide them to make headway in the international community. AJK President said Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir as father of the nation termed Kashmir as jugular vein of Pakistan. Referring to Indian threats to stop water of the rivers flowing from Kashmir to Pakistan, President said people of Kashmir will never allow this to happen. Terming Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan as first defence line of Pakistan, president said people of these two region will continue to defend the country along with the armed forces of the country. Replying different questions posed by media persons, president Masood paid glowing tributes to Hurriyat leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah, Massarat Alam, Aasia Andarabi and others for their courage and determination to relentlessly struggling for Kashmiri peoples’ right to self determination.
Later addressing a reception at the residence of Senator Salim Zia, President said Pakistan is swiftly heading towards an economic revolution for which Karachi and Sindh have an important role to play. He said unity, stability and continuation of policies are crucial to benefit from China Pakistan Economic Corridor. President Sardar Masood Khan also held a meeting with Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair in Karachi and discussed matters of mutual interests. During the meeting, problems of the Kashmiris living in the province were also discussed. Governor Sindh on this occasion said that Karachi is the economic hub of the country and its progress will result in development in other areas of the country.
