MIRPUR: All is set to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day throughout Pakistan and at both sides of the line of control, besides rest of the world to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 to reiterate full solidarity with the people of Jammu & Kashmir state coupled with the renewal of the pledge to continue extending fullest moral, political and diplomatic support to their legitimate right to self determination, being denied by India for the last 70 years through keeping held Jammu Kashmir in her unlawful and forcible occupation against the aspirations of the people of the disputed Himalayan Jammu & Kashmir state.In Azad Jammu & Kashmir all necessary arrangements have been given final touches to observe the day with traditional zeal and fervour and with the renewal of the Kashmiris firm resolve to continue their struggle for the achievement of their birth right to self determination through getting the motherland liberated from the Indian yoke in order to reach to their ultimate destination – Pakistan.Despite the weekly holiday, the day has been declared a state holiday because of its exceptional sanctity and importance throughout Azad Jammu Kashmir on this occasion as a mark of protest against the continued unlawful Indian occupation over bulk of the J & K state at the might of her (India) military power. Kashmiris observe the solidarity day every year not only to renew their deep-rooted love and affection with Pakistan but also to reiterate their commitment and dedication to their liberty from the Indian occupation.The day will dawn with special prayers for the martyrs of Jammu & Kashmir, victory of the freedom struggle and expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Besides mass rallies, symposium, walk-for-peace, conventions meetings and speech declamations, a unique ceremony at all the six bridges, linking Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir—where human chains comprising Pakistanis and Kashmiris to convey solidarity with each other, will be the hallmark of the day-long events everywhere to observe the Day in an apposite mode.The observance of the Kashmir Solidarity Day—on Feb-5 by over 200 million people of Pakistan every year and that too, with one voice is a clear manifestation of the bonafide verity that India can in no way delude the world opinion, any more and the Indian rulers shall have to bow before the explicit will of the gallant people of the Jammu and Kashmir, who are struggling to achieve their birth right of self-determination, in line with the United Nations resolutions—at every cost.The unequivocal blessing and support by overwhelming majority of Jammu & Kashmir people living either side of the Line of Control including the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and AJK leadership to Pakistan’s just and principled stand for the early peaceful solution of Kashmir issue is the clear manifestation of the reiteration of trust and confidence which the Kashmiris always have in their minds in Pakistan being their long-standing selfless advocate and partner for the accomplishment of their struggle for the achievement of their legitimate right to self determination.Since all preparations to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day in a befitting manner and traditional zeal have been given final touches in all ten districts of AJK including Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bagh, Bhimbher, Palandri, Rawalakot, Haveili, Jhelum Valley and Neelam valley – when the people of Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir – dwelling both sides of the LoC and all across the world, will join hands to voice for the right of self determination for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and for the liberation of the motherland from the long Indian yoke. In Mirpur district, major ceremony to observe the day will be held at Mangla bridge – the point linking the boundaries of Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir.The governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir declare February 5 an official holiday every year, as a mark of extreme indignation and concern against the continued reign of terror unleashed by the Indian occupying security forces in the held state. On this occasion, one-minute silence will be observed at 10.00 a.m. to pay homage to Kashmiri martyrs and for those who lost their lives in the recent earthquake. A number of public rallies will be staged to protest Indian policies and extend fullest support for the just cause of Kashmiri people to force Indian rulers for a peaceful solution of Kashmir issue. Banners and posters will be displayed at various places to acknowledge sacrifices being offered by the Kashmiri people. The national as well as AJK print and electronic media will present special programmes projecting the significance of the day with publishing articles, essays and screening video documentaries on the historic background of Kashmiri’s decades old struggle for the right to self determination. All Pakistani TV channels including national and private channels, radio Pakistan and all three stations of AJK Radio Mirpur, Tararkheil and Muzaffarabad will also air special programmes highlighting the significance of the day.AJK minister for sports and youth Ch. Muhammad Saeed said, while talking to this correspondent hereSaturday on this occasion, that Pakistani nation had always supported the ongoing freedom struggle of Jammu and Kashmir – since the people of Jammu and Kashmir has ideological bond with the strong determined ideology of Pakistan under the spirit of the two nation-theoryâ€. He said that observance of Kashmir Solidarity day by the people of Pakistan with Jammu & Kashmir people inhibiting both sides of the LoC, this year too – as all previous years, will, indeed, be the manifestation of an irrevocable resolve by the Pakistani nation and the government to continue extending their fullest moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their just and principled struggle for the achievement of their legitimate right to self determination committed by the international community.
The minister underlined that the hearts of the people of Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir beat in unison– in view of the fact that right from the first day of its advent in 1947, every government and the people of Pakistan always strongly and unequivocally supported the cause of Kashmir comprising primarily the Kashmiris legitimate right of self determination. Commending the strong and unequivocal stance on Kashmir by the incumbent PML (N) government and the people of Pakistan through extending unflinching support to Kashmiris in their indigenous struggle for freedom and for the achievement of their legitimate right to self determination, Ch. Saeed said that Pakistani nation always gave valuable sacrifices for the sake of Kashmir cause and they have shown solidarity with the people of Kashmir at every stage and in every hours of tial.
The minister said that Pakistan always proved herself a leaden wall when ever Kashmiris suffered – including in their peaceful struggle for freedom and during any natural catastrophe – through extending its fullest moral political and diplomatic support to their struggle for the accomplishment of their right to self determination. Saeed particularly recalled that in the devastating earthquake of October 8, 2005, the immediate all-possible exceptional help and support by the people and the government of Pakistan as well as Pakistan Army to the quake victims for their survival and rehabilitation will be always remembered. They were immediately proved a strong instrumental in supporting the victims of the deadly earthquake for their rehabilitation in the post quake regime so far. They showed the warmth with people of Jammu and Kashmir dwelling either side of the line of control, he added.
