Parachinar: A newly-married couple were found dead in their sleep at their house in Parachinar on Sunday after the two suffered suffocation from the gas oven they had left on overnight.
According to details, Hasnain Mumtaz and his wife Raheeda, who had got married only the previous night, had switched on the gas oven to heat the room. The oven however had turned off and the resulting gas leakage suffocated the couple to death.
Hasnain Mumtaz’s friends, who had come to attend the wedding from Azad Kashmir, tried to wake up the couple to say goodbye before leaving. However they received no response when they knocked on the door. Upon breaking the door, they found the couple dead in their sleep.
Bodies of the husband and wife were shifted to Agency HQ Hospital. Hospital administration, after necessary examination, handed over the bodies to the heirs.
