ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Journalists have voiced strong protest over reduction of their plots quota from 2 percent to 1 percent in new sectors of Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF Islamabad. According to media reports government has curtailed plots quota from 2 percent to 1 percent for journalists and media workers in new sectors of FGEHF. As per media reports, Arshid Choohan, director estate FGEHF said that 2 percent quota was allocated for the journalists and media workers in all the housing schemes under FGEHF earlier and this quota is also existing in Bahara Kahu Housing scheme. Executive council of FGEHF has reduced this quota from 2 percent to 1 percent in sector F-14 and other prospective sectors. This decision has provoked resentment and protest among the journalists organizations. The office bearers of PFUJ, RIUJ and United Journalists Forum have strongly protested against this decision saying that the journalists would boycott all government functions if the decision was not taken back.
