Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times)  Eid Milad-un- Nabi (SAW) was celebrated throughout Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Monday with religious sanctity and fervor. The day dawned with twenty-one gun salutes in the state capital to pay homage to the last Prophet [SAW]. Special prayers were offered after Namaz-e-Fajar for the unity of Muslim Ummah, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and early liberation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Milad processions were taken out from all district and tehsil headquarters of the state to mark the day. In the State capital Muzaffarabad a big procession of Eid Milad was taken out from Jamia Masjid Sultani, which after passing through its traditional route will conclude at University ground where a Seerat Conference will be held.
Eid milad processions were also taken out from the outskirts of Muzaffarabad city which joined the main procession. All the three Radio Stations of Azad Kashmir Radio are broadcasting special programmes on seerat-un- Nabi (SAW).
The streets and Bazars of all cities and towns have been tastefully decorated with colorful lights, buntings and banners to celebrate the day in a befitting manner. Elaborate security arrangements have been made by the law enforcing agencies to meet any eventuality.
