Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, normal life remained paralysed on 128th consecutive day, today, due to the strike called by the joint resistance leadership.

Shops, fuel stations and other business establishments remained closed.

At least 14 youth were detained during a raid by the Indian forces in Narbal area of Badgam district. The forces resorted to massive teargas shelling before barging into the houses in different localities of Sozieth village early morning. They smashed windowpanes, LCD TVs, refrigerators, cars and vandalized other household goods.

Meanwhile, Dukhatarn-e-Millat in a statement in Srinagar said that the health of illegally detained party Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi had deteriorated in Baramulla jail. Aasiya Andrabi has been detained under draconian Public Safety Act. The statement said that despite repeated reminders, the authorities had failed to provide her medical treatment.
