Islamabad: (Parliament Times)Â AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has urged universities to raise an army of youths equipped with information technology to defend national interests of the country. Addressing as chief guest at the Convocation of COMSTAS Institute of Information Technology, the president said Pakistan has nuclear shield and strong war machine to defend geographical frontiers of the country but unfortunately we are weak at media front to present our just and legitimate case before the global community.
The president urged the students to feel proud of being Pakistani and strive hard to bring good name to your parents, family and the country by excelling in different fields of studies. He said there are six universities in AJK but we need to enhance the standard and quality of education and to make the curriculum being taught in the universities compatible with global job markets.
He asked the management of the COMSATS to setup a campus of the university in AJK to benefit the students of states in IT related programs of studies.
Praising the standard of the university, AJK president said COMSATS started as small institute become a big educational establishment of the country in just few years and Pakistan nation is proud of it. Referring to China- Pakistan Economic Corridor, President said it will change the economic fate of Pakistan and will open up new opportunities for the qualified youth the country. We will have to prepare ourselves to reap advantages from it, the president said and added that our educational planner should groom the students before time to take advantage from CPEC. If we fail other regional countries will benefit from it leaving us to way behind.
About the freedom movement in Kashmir, Sardar Masood said Kashmiris are being tortured and punished for their love for Pakistan. People of AJK and Pakistan have responsibility to help our brethren every possible to keep their spirit for freedom alive and animated
