Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Salvation Movement, Vice Chairman, Altaf Ahmad Bhat on Tuesday while reacting to the statement of British Prime Minister, Theresa May, said that though it is good to suggest both countries to resolve Kashmir issue through negotiations, but it is very sad that international community is not delivering their obligations as expected by people of state. Since 1947 both countries were involved in talks but of no avail. Altaf Ahmad in his statement said  that during British rule near about 525 small states  decided about their political destiny but no serious efforts were executed to resolve Kashmir issue as per aspirations of people of state and with the result the political uncertainty in sub-continent and particularly the people in  India, Pakistan and in state are facing a miserable situation and cross border tension may flare into a full-fledged war between the two .Altaf Ahmad said that Kashmir issue is a core issue and Britain and member countries should intervene  and sort out the lasting resolution of Kashmir issue.

Altaf Ahmad paid his rich tributes to Qari Sadam, Waseem Ahmad Khanday who were slain in Shopian and Ragzan Keller encounter. Meanwhile party deputation led by Molvi Rafiq,Farooq Ahmad and Imtiyaz Ahmad participated in their funeral prayers and extended condolences to the bereaved families.

He paid his tributes to Er Gowher Nazir on his first martyrdom anniversary and lashed out at administration and said that slain youth was killed in coldblooded manner but the killers were not brought to book. He expressed his sympathy with the bereaved family and said the sacrifices laid by our youth won’t go waste.
