RAWALAKOT (Parliament Times): Indian army on Sunday opened unprovoked fire across Line of Control (LoC) and targeted the civilian population. However no loss of human life has been reported yet. The firing occurred in Battal sector of Rawalakot and continued for several hours.

Pakistan army befittingly responded to the Indian aggression and silenced the enemy’s guns.

It is pertinent to mention here that India has violated the ceasefire for more than 100 times in the ongoing year.

Pakistan and India had declared ceasefire along the LoC and the Working Boundary in 2003. But both accuse each other of violating the ceasefire as tensions between them worsened since last month.

The escalations now cause civilian casualties.

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that armed forces would defend every inch of the motherland at every cost.

Talking to media in Sialkot, he said India s real face is exposing as it is supporting terrorism in Pakistan and creating tension on border through unprovoked firing along the Working Boundary and Line of Control.

The Minister said the entire nation stands united along with the armed forces to defend the motherland.

Earlier, he visited border village Kundanpur in Sialkot and paid rich tributes to the resilience and spirit of the villagers affected by the unprovoked firing of Indian forces along the working boundary.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif assured that the government would soon compensate the people of the villages affected by firing of Indian Forces.
