Muzaffarabad: AJK Development Working Party (DWP) on Tuesday approved 5 projects worth value of Rs 91.706 million during this fiscal year. The meeting of the DWP was held in committee room of Planning & Development Department, presided over by the Additional Chief Secretary Development (ACSD) Syed Asif Shah.
Total 11 projects of Education, Social Welfare and Women Development, Media Development, Environmental, Sports & Youth, Industries and TEVTA and Health sectors were brought under consideration and five of them were approved. The projects approved by the Forum include, “Renovation of Neelum Special Education Centre ” of development of Social Welfare and Women Development, “Strengthening of Information department” of Information Department, Establishment of Technical training Centers” of TEVTA, Installment of X Ray’s and ultrasound machines in secondary daycare hospitals in AJK” of Health department, Environmental Governance and Strengthening of Monitoring Support  ” of Environment Department were got approved.
While addressing the meeting ACS (D) emphasized on the departments for early completion of the projects with minimum cost. He asked all concerned departments for fulfilling the requirements before submitting their PC1s to the Forum. He directed to initiate procedure of shifting developmental scheme of Information department on normal budget.
