Muzaffarabad: Acting AJK President, Shah Ghulam Qadir, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, former Prime Minister, Sardar Attique Ahamed Khan and other speakers called for complete uninty and solidarity to take the freedom movement of Kashmir to its logical conclusion. Speaking on the occasion, Acting President, Shah Ghulam Qadir said peace and stability in South Asia would remain a distance dream without peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue. He urged global community to take serous notice of Indian state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir to save the region from disastrous war. The President said that AJK and Pakistani governments and people were stood by the people in occupied Kashmir in their struggle for right to self determination.
Shah Ghulam Qadir said that AJK government was established on 24th October 1947 aimed at continuing the liberation struggle till its logical conclusion. He said people and government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir will never leave their brethren alone in their just struggle for internationally recognized right to self-determination. He lauded Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for raising strong voice for Kashmiris at international level.In his speech, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that people of Azad Kashmir were defenders of Pakistan and India can’t dare to cross Line of Control for strikes.
The Prime Minister condemned shelling by Indian troops from across the Line of Control and Working Boundary and asked India to to fulfil its pledges of giving right to self determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir accordance with United Nations resolutions. He said the spirit of freedom in the Kashmiris will get further strong by the repressive means being used by the Indian forces.
He said India fabricated the story of surgical strike in utter despair after voices of concern over human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir were raised from different parts of the world. Raja Farooq Haider lauded the role of Pakistani Government, armed forces, media and civil society in highlighting the Kashmir issue.
Speaking on the occasion, Muslim Conference President and former AJK Prime Minister, Sardar Attique ahamed Khan said that Muslim Conference and freedom movement of Kashmir are inseparable and we cannot remain indifferent from what is happening on other side of the LoC. He said government in Islamabad and Muzaffarabad are more interested in Kashmir but we consider lives of Kashmiris more important than the land of Kashmir. He paid tributes to Raees-ul- Aharar Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, Ghazi-e- Millat Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, Mujahid awal Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan, Mirwaz-e- Kashmir and other leaders for their brilliant role in Kashmir freedom struggle.
