ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Chairman NAB Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal has ordered conduct of complaint verification of the complaints and reports of alleged corruption and unabated wastage of resources by Pakistan Cricket Control Board, Pakistan Hockey Federation and Pakistan Sports Board as pointed out by Audit and complaints about alleged corruption etc and ordered submission of report within three months.
According to a press release issued here on Friday said that the NAB chairman was strictly adhering to his across the board accountability policy after assumption of his responsibilities as Chairman NAB.
“In line with his direction to all the Regional Bureaus of NAB to arrest proclaimed offenders and absconders the NAB authorities have apprehended as many as 15 proclaimed offenders during the past 3 months following the orders of Chairman NAB”, the statement said.
“The Chairman NAB has ordered action against the corrupt so that the country could be put on road to progress and prosperity. In line with his direction to recover looted money of People from Housing Societies, NAB has ensured return of the looted amount of the victims of nine (9) Housing Societies within a period of three months”, the statement added.
Likewise, Chairman NAB has directed Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Capital Territory Administration to submit details of Private and Cooperative Housing Societies to NAB besides displaying their particulars on the websites of respective institution like CDA, RDA and ICT. The details of illegal Housing Societies must be advertised in newspapers at large in order to aware people about illegal societies so that they should be cautioned in investing in illegal societies.
NAB chairman has also sought details about allowing such Private and Cooperative Housing Societies, issuing NOC and approving Lay out plan without completion of all legal formalities. Why relevant regularities remained silent over plundering of billions of hard earned money of innocent people who invested in various societies which were not legal. NAB should be provided details of all such plundering of illegal housing societies so that the action could be taken against the culprits involved in allowing such fake and illegal Housing Societies in twin cities.
