London: A Kashmiri delegation met with the Conservative Party Chairman and member of the British Parliament (MP), Sir Patrick McLaughlin, at Halifax in Yorkshire, UK.
The delegation comprised Raja Najabat Hussain, Harry Boota, Samina Khan, Chaudhary Mohammed Akram, Sardar Abdur Rahman Khan and Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam.
The delegation met Sir Patrick McLaughlin on the occasion of a Conservative Party dinner hosted by Amjad Bashir, Member of European Parliament (MEP),
The delegation while handing over a memorandum to the Conservative Party Chairman demanded the UK government’s active role in getting the Kashmir dispute resolved.
The delegation appreciated the UK Parliament’s motion in support of the Kashmir cause adopted on 19th January 2017. It also requested the Chairman to implement the proposals of the motion.
