Srinagar: Saying that kashmir issue remains core issue between India and Pakistan, Senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Friday made it clear that unless and untill this issue is addressed as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people ,peace in South Asia will remain a farfetched dream.
In a statement to press he said without inducting genuine Kashmiri leadership in the talks, the process would become meaningless. He also suggested that both the countries should give shape and direction to their ongoing negotiations to make them meaningful and result-oriented
“By fulfilling its promises and obligations towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir, we understand the universal principle of ‘right to self-determination’ is the only road through which peace can be achieved in Jammu and Kashmir” added Waza.
