Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that Indian forces kill Kashmiri youth with impunity and then disallow even mourning and congregational prayers.
Muhammad Yasin Malik while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family of martyr Sajjad Hussain Sheikh at his Batamaloo residence in Srinagar, today, said the cold blooded murder of the youth by trigger-happy Indians is a demonstration of state sponsored terrorism. Sajjad Sheikh was shot dead by Indian troops at Batamaloo on 15th April 2017.
Earlier, JKLF Chairman avoiding heavy restrictions reached Batamaloo on foot and visited the residence of martyr Sajjad. He met with the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them. Speaking on the occasion, Malik said that Indian rulers, their Kashmiri stooges and trigger happy forces and police “kill our kith and kin with impunity and then even mourning and congregational prayers are disallowed and banned.†He said that Innocent teenager Sajjad was killed without any provocation and today his parents and other people were not allowed to hold congregational prayers at his graveyard. He said that banning mourning and sacred rituals amounts to interference in religious affairs but hoping for any good from these so-called rulers who have shun every little shame for their lust of power and who have no honor for human lives is like living in fool’s paradise. He said that ban on raising voices, ban on peaceful political gatherings, on travelling, on holding debates and arguments and even banning internet facilities had become a trade mark of so-called Indian democracy and its stooges in Kashmir.
“Inhuman attacks on protesting students have added a new chapter to this aggression and oppression in Kashmir,†he added.
After visiting Batamaloo, JKLF chairman along with others visited SMHS hospital and enquired about the well-being of students who were injured by police and CRPF yesterday. Yasin also met the critically injured girl Iqra Sideeq who was hit in her head by CRPF terrorists who dropped a stone straight on his head from above at Sakidafer Srinagar and narrowly survived from the brutal assault of terrorists in uniform.
