MIRPUR (AJK): Grand Walks in various parts of Azad Jammu Kashmir to raise awareness among the masses about adopting preventive measures to be saved from the disease of Malaria will be the hallmark of the scheduled Universal Malaria Day, being observed on April 25 the world over, it was officially declared.
The walks in all AJK district and tehsil headquarters to mark the day would be held under the auspices of the State Health Department, State Health Department sources told APP here on Friday.
In Mirpur, the grand walk will start from District Health Office at 10.00 in the morning and will culminate at central Shaheed chowk – where speakers would highlight the importance of adopting the preventive steps to avert the threat of the disease of malaria. Besides the officials of the Health department, elders of diverse segments of the civil society including teachers and students will participate in the scheduled walk
