Geneva: Liechtenstein Governor Mr. Feridi Kaisar has said that he would take up the Kashmir issue and sensitize his government about prevailing political and human rights situation in Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Liechtenstein Governor Mr. Kaisar made these remarks while talking to an eight member Kashmir delegation that called on Governor Feridi Kaisaŕ and other political and social activists in Liechtenstein on Sunday.
The delegation comprised of veteran human rights activists Altaf Hussain Wani, APHC convener Syed Faiz Naqashbandi and Sardar Amjad Yousaf Khan the Executive Director KIIR.
The veteran Kashmiri leaders, currently attending 35th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, briefed the Governor about the situation of Jammu and Kashmir and the miseries and suffering due to continued conflict.
Mr. Feridi Kaisar assured the Kashmiri delegates that he will take up this matter and support for the rehabilitation of the affectees. He assured Kashmir leaders he will organize meeting with senior government officials and other political leaders to sensitize them about prevailing situation of Jammu & Kashmir.
The meeting was organised by a local NGO help for Kashmir headed by Mirza Arshad. Others who were present on this occasion include Vice President of Help for Kashmir Sharoon Markus and Hanspatar a local veteran.
