LAHORE: Thousands of Sikh devotees are taking part in 549th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak being held in Nankana Sahib on Saturday, November 04.
In his message on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated the Sikh community and welcomed them in Pakistan.
He said that Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji has been an example of religious tolerance and inter-faith harmony who promoted the message of brotherhood and love to the humanity.
He said that minorities are free to perform their religious worship and welfare of minorities including the Sikhs community is part of government priorities.
Sikhs from India and other countries have arrived in Pakistan to participate in birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Sahib. Provincial government and Auqaf and Evacuee Trust have made arrangements to facilitate the Sikh Yatrees.
