Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Veteran rights activist and the leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Altaf Hussain Wani has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health condition of National Front Chairman Nayeem Ahmed Khan who has been admitted to Deen Dayal Upadiyai Hospital in Dehli, after complaining of multiple ailments.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday Wani said that it was quite unfortunate that the his family was not allowed to see the senior Hurriyat leader in the hospital. Terming it as a flagrant violations of basic human rights the APHC leader urged the world human rights bodies to take effective notice of Indian authorities’ high-handedness.
Demanding early release of Nayeem Ahmed Khan he said that Khan’s health has been seriously deteriorated over the past several weeks as platelet count in his blood has dropped to extremely low level due to Dengue fever, which he said could lead to life threatening condition.
Voicing serious concern over Khan’s declining health condition the JKNF convener urged the world human rights bodies to influence the government of India to ensure early and safe release of the illegally detained Hurriyat leader who, he said, was persecuted and thrown behind the bars on the basis of fabricated and trumped up charges.
