Rawalpindi: Due to fiscal crisis and continuous hike in prices of electricity, WASA has decided to turn its all tube wells and water filtration plants on solar system.
The bills of more than 400 tube wells of WASA across the city have crossed over to 10 million and payment of these bills has gone out from fiscal control of WASA.
Chairman RDA Arif Abbasi has said that the decision has been taken and this step will save hundred thousand rupees of WASA in a month, the transferring of tube wells from WAPDA’s electricity to solar system has been started.
