Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Deputy District Officer Health (DDOH) Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi Dr Sheikh Amir has said that the dengue control micro planning survey has been completed in the municipal corporation under which 1,26000 houses and 32000 business establishments have been registered. He said for house surveillance in Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi 180 teams consisting of female workers have been constituted, while 86 teams for the inspection of business establishment have been formed.
He said this while briefing on the anti-dengue step taken by the Health Department in the Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi. DDOH Rawalpindi Dr Sheikh Amir said each team inspects25 to 30 houses daily and in the coming days the number of houses might be increased given the favorable temperature for dengue breeding. He said the area of Municipal Corporation is previously known as Rawal Town area which is considered sensitive for the dengue outbreak. He said comprehensive strategy has been evolved for the off season to keep the dengue under control in the peak season.
