Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Hurriyet leaders led by Zafar Akbar Butt visited various pellet victims and the families of martyrs in different areas of Tangmarg, Baramulla district.
Zafar Akbar Butt addressing people on the occasion expressed dismay over the deteriorating condition of the pellet victims including Danish Ali Ganie, Waseem Ahmad Beigh, Javed Ahmad Ganie and expressed solidarity and sympathy with the victims and assured them all possible help. He appealed to the international community to play role and use their influence on India to stop using lethal weapons against peaceful protestors in the territory.Zafar Akbar Butt was accompanied by Gowher Khalid, Aijaz Ahmed, Bashir Ah, Mohammad Skinder and Mushtaq Ahmed.
APHC leaders Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and Saleem Zargar, today, visited the families of 2016 martyrs including Irfan Ahmad Malik, Basit Mukhtar Butt and Zahoor Ahmad Mantoo in different areas of Pulwama. As per the statement, the leaders expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza chairing a meeting of his party in Islamabad condemned the recent attack on Muslims in Kathua by goons of RSS and termed it as state terrorism.
He said that New Delhi needed to give up its stubbornness and take measures for the resolution of lingering Kashmir dispute as the unresolved Kashmir dispute was the main cause of confrontation between two nuclear neighbours. On the occasion party leaders Er Fayaz Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmad Butt, Shabbir Ahmad and Nazir Ahmad were also present.
Later, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with other leaders visited various areas of Islamabad and expressed solidarity with the pellet victims of the ongoing uprising.
Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement condemned continued detention of party leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt and other leaders.
Tehreek-e-Shabab-ul-Muslimeen JK, Jammu Kashmir, Islamic Movement and Kashmir Freedom Movement in a joint statement issued in Srinagar paid rich tribute to the five youth who got martyred in Gadru Forest area of Kellar in Shopian district.
