Shoukat Shah confident of Amir Altaf’s victory in bye-elections

HAJIRA: (Parliament times) The AJK Minister of Food Syed Shaukat Ali Shah is confident of victory of PML-N candidate Sardar Amir Altaf in the upcoming by-elections in AJK.
Talking to various delegations here on Thursday Shah said late K.B. Khan was very popular in his constituency. It is clear from the overwhelming attendance of people of Hajirah Tehsil and other areas in public meetings of Altaf that people have made up their minds to fully support to the grandson of late Khan.
“Even before by-elections people repose their trust and confidence in the policies and performance of the ruling party” Shah observed.
Shah said Altaf was quite capable to serve his constituents with the passion and dedication his grandfather did for a long time. Categorically rejecting opposition criticism that government was using official resources during the campaigning of Altaf, Shah said PML-N firmly believes in merit and wants to return to office on the basis of its performance instead of violating code of conduct of election commission. “We don’t need to do that as people know what we have done for them just in two years. We have introduced NTS to ensure that capable and deserving candidates get employment opportunities in the State”, he remarked. This is how we want to move ahead during our stint, he added
