Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat has said that slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on party Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her associate, Fehmeeda Sofi, and their shifting to Amphala jail in Jammu by the authorities is nothing but a conspiracy to murder Aasiya Andrabi.
The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Aasiya Andrabi is critically ill and needs oxygen repeatedly and her travel through mountainous roads will turn detrimental to her already ailing health condition. She said that the extremist Hindus in Jammu had created an atmosphere of hate against the people of the Kashmir Valley particularly against Hurriyet leaders and under such circumstances lodging of Aasiya Andrabi in a Jammu jail could prove fatal for her.
Nahida Nasreen said that the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, was dancing to the tunes of her masters in New Delhi and she along with her masters had planned to kill Aasiya Andrabi. She said, the way PDP-BJP jointly have unleashed a reign of terror on the helpless Muslims is not going to cow down the people of the Valley or Hurriyet leadership.
Nahida Nasreen appealed to the Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other international rights groups to intervene and ensure immediate release of Aasiya Andrabi.
She said that Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi were arrested by Indian police on April 26 and were kept in custody in Srinagar. Later, the authorities booked them under draconian PSA and shifted them to Amphala Jail in Jammu on Thursday, she added.
