Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has indicted State Minister for interior Talal Chauhdary in contempt of court case while Talal Chauhdary has pleaded not guilty.
A 3 members bench of SC presided over by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan took up the case for hearing here on Thursday.
Counsel for Talal Chauhdary filed a new petition requesting that Court should exercise restraint like the cases of Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri.
He prayed the hearing of the case may please be stopped till the announcement of detailed verdict in the cases of Nawaz Sharif and Saad Rafique.
The decisions of the case of Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri were attached with the petition.
While rejecting the plea Justice Ejaz Afzal remarked that full opportunity of defence will be given to Talal Chauhdary and he will be acquitted if no solid evidence is found.
Charge sheet has been provided to the counsel for Talal Chauhdary.
Further hearing of the case will be held on 27th March.
