Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have imposed restrictions in Srinagar to prevent people from staging protest demonstrations after Friday prayers, against the recent cold-blooded killing of innocent civilians by the Indian troops in the territory.
According to Media reports, call for the protests has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and is also aimed at condemning the ongoing spree of arbitrary arrests and other brutalities unleashed by the Indian forces against the Kashmiri people.
The restrictions have been imposed in areas falling under the jurisdictions of police stations of Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, Maharajgung, Safakadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud.
The puppet authorities have deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength in Srinagar and all other major towns of the territory to stop people from staging the demonstrations.
A large contingent of Indian police raided the residence of Muhammad Yasin Malik, took him into custody and shifted him to Srinagar Central Jail. The puppet authorities have placed Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest in Srinagar while Syed Ali Gilani is already under continued house detention since 2010.
The authorities have also suspended train service between Baramulla town of the Kashmir Valley and Bannihal town in the Jammu region.
