Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and Canada-Pakistan Business Council (CPBC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) here on Tuesday. President RCCI Raja Amer Iqbal and President Canada-Pakistan Business Council Samir Dossal signed and exchange documents at a ceremony attended by Chamber representatives including Senior Vice President Rashid Waien, Vice President Asim Malik and members’ of the executive committee.
While commenting on the occasion, CPBC president Samir Dossal said that the major objective of this MOU was to promote bilateral trade ties and mutual benefits of the business communities of the both countries. He said this agreement will help in promoting direct company-to-company linkages between CPBC and RCCI members. Both organizations will cooperate with each other to establish and develop direct and effective business relations between their respective offices and to facilitate arranging business to business (B2B) meetings on reciprocal basis, he added.
Earlier, president Raja Amer Iqbal gave a short briefing on RCCI key initiatives, exhibitions, trade fairs, industry academia linkages and Women Business Incubation Center (WBIC). He said that through this MOU information on Canadian, Pakistani Trade Fairs, missions, seminars and other business related events will be shared to CPBC and RCCI members.
Under the agreement, both organizations will work cooperatively to identify and explore business opportunities between Canada and Pakistan, including joint ventures, strategic alliances and technology transfers.
