ISLAMABAD: Activists of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) continue to stage protest demonstration in front of party chairman Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala over issue of distribution of ticket for the forthcoming elections.
The protesters tried to climb the gate and enter Khan’s residence. Following the protest, the PTI chairman assured the workers of reviewing the issuance of tickets.
Meanwhile, the party has delayed the announcement of candidates for remaining constituencies for 72 hours.
Imran Khan has also summoned the members of parliamentary board today. They are scheduled to announce the new candidates after three days.
Sources have revealed that the members have decided the names of all the candidates of Punjab. Only the review appeals will be examined today.
The scrutiny process of candidates is also likely to continue for the next three days in the controversial constituencies of Islamabad, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
