Islamabad : The police put the order of Islamabad High Court into the doldrums as the close relative of former IG could not be arrested despite the assurance of Inspector General in the confiscation case of a widow’s house.
The affected widow approached SSP Operations Islamabad Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi for the protection of her family due to stubborn behavior of police in arresting the real culprit of illegally capturing her house situated at the sector G-6 as the offender Tahir Baig is the son in law of former IG Police . The SSP called the SP CIA and ordered him to investigate the matter purely on merit.
The accused Tahir Baig and his companions have the full backing of SP CIA , who was working on the post of SP City at the time of registration of the case.
It is pertinent to mention here that single bench of Islamabad High Court comprising of Justice Athar Minallah had rebuked the IG Police and Chief Commissioner Islamabad and ordered an enquiry on the matter .
After which Chief Commissioner Islamabad had made the AC(City) to OSD, whereas on the oprder of IG , Additional Inspector General Ismat Ullah Junejo has put all the responsibility on SP CIA.
